I am happy to announce that Revelation is now published! Needless to say, getting this one released has taken a lot longer than I ever imagined or intended, but – as they say – the best laid plans of mice and men…
As always, I’ve released both a paperback and an ebook version. (Again, releasing a paperback edition costs essentially nothing, so why not?) At present, I believe Amazon shows it as having 309 pages, but it actually has 392.
Once again, the cover art was done by Isikol, who simply has a knack for capturing the image I have in my head. As is typical for me, I neglected to do a cover reveal, but I’ve never gotten a strong indication one way or another as to how readers feel about those. (On the other hand, I did get a strong reaction to publishing an excerpt from the book, so maybe I’ll pursue that option more often.)
Beyond that, let me say thanks once again to the many fans of this series. I know that a lot of readers were eagerly awaiting the next installment, so thanks for your patience and I sincerely hope you enjoy the book.
Congratulations and Thank you at the same time. While I can't rush to read it right this second, since I was already marathon reading today and just finished, I will make this my priority for tomorrow. Although since it's been long enough, I think that means starting at Book 1 first.
Hope sales and reviews are all you hope for.
I just finished reading it and it was great! But that ending is making me seriously uncomfortable and eager for the next book lol.
LOL! Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks. I hope you enjoy the book.
That ending is just cruel, now I can't wait for the next one.
LOL! That means I've properly baited the hook!
The ending was so good! I can't wait for the next one! In fact I might read the whole series again!
Is your neck book going to be Warden #4 or will you Continue with Kid Sensation?
I consider that a great compliment – thanks!
It's not set in stone, but the likely order is Fringe Worlds #2, Warden #4, then Kid Sensation #5.

I enjoyed the book. I thought it was a bit slow until about two thirds but not in a bad way. I like the way you reshaped some stuff :). Sorry, forgot the no spoilers part. Wonder AP will react about one aspect of the ending, namely the reshaped stuff.
I am eagerly waiting for Warden #4. I cant say why but I liked that series a lot more. Kid sensation series was fun but Warden series stayed with me. I hope you can fix your computer problems and write more :). Happy writing!!
Glad you enjoyed it, and also nice to hear that you're fond of the Warden books, which is definitely a different kind of series. As to writing more, that is definitely part of the plan.
Finished reading it, got to say I enjoyed it. I liked the addition of his cousins, especially the fact that one decided to bow out of the hero lifestyle to fall in love. It was a rather nice change of pace and I'm hoping she really only pops into the hero world afterwards for serious emergencies not just because she is OP. I do wonder though, why the guy at the end waited so long? (Trying not to spoil) The machine was a nice addition as well, explaining a few things.
Only thing I really had issue with, and it's not really a problem, more of a picayune opinion, but it bugged me how everyone got all bent out of shape about his family lineage, starting with Electra and moving on to his friends(that were in the know about his relationship to Alpha Prime) since I assume that no one knows that his cousins are related to AP in any way. I just personally don't understand how it was any of their business, or frankly why they should get all hyped up over his parentage. But it's not wholly about his lineage. It seems like at some point in the past, fictional characters all decided they absolutely had to know all the secrets of everyone they knew as regular acquaintances or better. At some point they seem to have forgotten that people have secrets and that they are theirs to share or to bury forever in the vaults of their mind. And frankly it's bugged me for years. I have a bad habit(or an amusing one if you're watching me) of talking to(or yelling at) the characters I'm reading about. Usually in regards to asinine statements or actions they make. Sort of like when the dumb kids go into the serial killers' home(or a haunted house) and you're compelled to tell them how stupid it was to do that. Or that they should run the other way.
But it seems like a lot of fiction has started abusing the idea that if you have even a passing relationship with a major(but not necessarily main) character, that you are obligated(or they are entitled to know) to tell them all the deepest darkest secrets about yourself. And if you don't, you're a horrible friend, a terrible person, or bad boyfriend/girlfriend, or just not thinking of how others will feel about it. As if they'd think anything about it all if it managed to stay a secret. But I guess I'll stop now, sorry for the soapbox, but it's something that's been bugging me in fiction for years.
Back to the reason we are here, the actual content of the story and not my interpretation of how imaginary people should act. I questioned Smokey and Electra following him around a lot. Their reasoning seemed flimsy. Yes he had that rage moment, but it was completely understandable. As to her and AP's emotional blackmail of him, basically going on to say if you care about either of us, then you'll do this, I think he should have called them on it, even if it turned out ok in the end. I mean seriously, if that's how she's going to "handle" him, then he needs to find someone who remembers that on at least 3 occasions, severe bodily harm was in the offing for him and all of a sudden he's supposed to play nice.
But on the whole, I enjoyed the book. If I didn't like the series so much, I wouldn't be complaining about my own personal interpretations of the characters. So good job and keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next.
Thanks. As long as you enjoyed the book, I'm happy. :>)
Ahhhhhh the ending killed me! But the book is awesome. I am really looking forward to either a new Kid Sensation or Warden book soon π I also appreciated that some things that were left as loose ends in the previous books were wrapped up (and there were some surprises for sure). Thank you.
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying the books, and I'll try to keep'em coming!
I love kid sensation books
But I am confused about some things like why hasn't Jim gotten any new powers it talks about in book one that Jim is still in super puberty so why no new powers also you never explain why Jim is the only super in his family that didn't get his powers as a baby just
Thanks! As I've said many times before, it always makes my day when a reader says they like my work. As to "super puberty," sometimes there's a lull before kids hit that final growth spurt…

Thanks for writing back not many authors would do that it made my day can't wait till your next book I know it will be great π
If I made your day then we're even! ;>)
So what are you working on a new kid sensation book or a new book series
There are two major projects at the moment: the next "Fringe Worlds" novel, and Kid Sensation #5, and they'll probably get finished in that order. After that it's a bit of a toss-up. I've got the Mouse novel (a companion book to the Kid Sensation series) that I'd like to get done, but I've got the fourth Warden book that I need to wrap up as well.
So when do you estimate that you'll be done with both books not that I'm rushing you =>
LOL. I've learned to be really wary about estimating the time of completion for my books; it seems that there's always a monkey wrench waiting to be tossed into the works. That said, I actually seem to have hit my stride recently on Kid Sensation #5 and it's looking like – contrary to what I reported earlier – that one is likely to be finished first. There are some aspects that are out of my control after that (eg, how long my editor takes to work her magic), but with any luck I anticipate hitting the the "publish" button before the end of the year. Keep your fingers crossed…
Ok last question can you describe Jim because it talks about his skin tone and how he is slim and how his eyes change depending on his mode but he learned how to hide that so what is his eye color ,hair color, height is he cute?
I believed I've described him as being about 6 feet tall, with dark curly hair. He's handsome, but since the novels are written in the first person I've simply tried to imply that rather than have him blatantly state, "I'm a good-looking guy." LOL
I really love this series, and this particular book was so good and fast paced that I've spent the whole day just reading it. The ending was awesome, though the anticipation is going to kill me. Can't wait for book #5!
I have couple questions to ask in order to satisfy my curiosity. John and Electra's relationship is very interesting to watch, but sometimes I get the feeling that Electra is expecting something from Jim that he doesn't understand. Can you explain Electra's feelings or history to me?
Second question. Is their going to be a new power reveal from Jim in the next book? If so, what are the potential power candidates?
Any Updates on KS #5? Love your books by the way.
Electra's going to get her own companion book, so I'm reserving a lot of things about her (including her background) for that. With respect to your question about Jim, I don't want to put out a bunch of spoilers, but yes – the plan is to have him eventually develop new powers. However, to avoid ruining it for anyone, I'm playing my cards close to my chest in regards to which book that will happen in and what those powers will be.
I've just re-read this book to pick up any info I missed and to review the characters, and I almost died from the ending again. It's awesome, I can't wait for Kid Sensation #5!
I apologize, but I do have another set of questions. Since we are reading from Jim's POV it seems that we don't hear from most of the adult supers. I'm wondering are we going to hear more from them in Mouse's story or are they not the main focus?
Thanks again for the compliments. Hopefully the wait won't be much longer.
I've no problem with questions, so ask away! But yes, there will be much more from the adult supers in Mouse's story.
Hello again! I'm sorry, but I'm going to ask you a pretty common question, but I haven't seen it pop up in a while so… Do you have an idea when Kid Sensation #5 is coming out in 2016? And is it going to be in the month of January?
I'm close to being done, but pinning down a publication date is tricky since there are other moving parts to account for outside of simply writing (editing, cover, etc.). In short, a January release is looking to be rather ambitious; a February release is probably more reasonable.
Thanks for the excerpt on your webpage. From the way it sounds Jim still has his awesomely tough personality. Excited for the book release! π

You've mentioned that there was going to be a book from Electra's POV, would that story be connected to Mouse's, or completely separate? Would the stories be a deliberate part of Jim's ongoing adventure or would they have their own plotlines?
The books featuring Electra and Mouse will be separate and distinct, with their own individual plotlines – neither connected to each other nor part of any of Jim's adventures.
Just finished book 5, wondering about a timeline for book 6 lol
I'm actually afraid to say because I don't want to jinx it. I'll just repeat what is becoming my mantra: I plan to write it faster than the last one.
Right now it is may, when is it gonna be released? mannn I cant wait, iam dying here
If you're talking about Book 5, it's been out since April…
Is there any update on book 6?
Still hoping to get it out this summer, although I'll probably move it up ahead of Warden #4 in the queue.
