Milestone: 20,000 Audiobooks Sold

So I woke up to this bit of good news a few days ago:

Twenty thousand audiobooks sold.  Needless to say, I was super excited

Of course, it was a milestone I knew was approaching, and it feels awesome to cross that threshold – mostly because, as I’ve mentioned before, audiobooks are more difficult to market than ebooks and paperbacks. For instance, my audiobooks are distributed exclusively by Audible, which also sets the price. Since I don’t control pricing, I can’t offer discounts/sales on my audio titles. (The hope for authors in my position is to be included in one of Audible’s promotions, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed in that regard.)  Considering all the facts, every sale feels like a victory of sorts.

That said, the numbers are really more of a testament to my readers and listeners, who have shown unwavering support for my writing in various formats.  For that, you have my  sincere and heartfelt thanks. Hopefully I will continue to produce stories that resonate with audiences and entertain.

Finally, if you haven’t tried audiobooks yet, I encourage you to do so.  In fact, you  can get a 30-day free trial of Audible (as well as a free copy of one of my audio titles) by clicking on the desired audiobook here.  Thanks again, everyone, for all your support.

    1. Thanks – I’m in the process of trying to finish it up, and I’m glad to hear that readers are looking forward to it.

  1. I know this is kinda an obscure question but why is Jim only like 6’0 his mom is 5’10 and his dad 6’6 shouldn’t he be a giant.

    1. LOL! It’s entirely possible that he hasn’t finished growing. That said, I think the experts estimate that your height typically lands somewhere between your parents, so the midpoint for someone whose parents are 5’10 and 6’6 would be 6’2. It’s a good height, but not gigantic.

    1. It’s done and in the hands of my editor. (Hmmm…Guess I should probably do a post on that, huh?) I anticipate getting it back within the next week and [hopefully] releasing shortly thereafter. In short, if all goes well, it should be released this month.
